Péry is a charming municipality located in the picturesque Péry-La Heutte, nestled within the French-speaking Bernese Jura (Jura Bernois) region of Switzerland. Rich in heritage and natural beauty, Péry is also renowned for its historic ties to Swiss watchmaking, making it a significant place for collectors and enthusiasts of horology.

Péry was home to the Pery Watch Company, which likely drew its name from the municipality, adding historical and geographical significance to the brand. Established by watch manufacturer Dreyfus Frères SA of Biel in 1903, the company became known for its fine timepieces. Unfortunately, due to the financial crisis of the 1930s, the company ceased operations, and its building was repurposed in 1934 into a factory for typewriter ribbons, stencils, and carbon paper.

This exquisite Art Deco ladies' wristwatch is a stunning testament to timeless elegance and superior craftsmanship. Dating back to the early 1930s, this vintage timepiece is crafted from luxurious 14K solid rose gold, encompassing the case, lugs, and bracelet. The bezel is adorned with ten dazzling single-cut diamonds, symmetrically set with five on the top and five on the bottom. Each diamond weighs approximately 0.0625 carats, for a total carat weight of 0.625, showcasing exceptional precision and beauty.

Along with the diamonds, the watch features a uniquely designed elongated case that fits perfectly on the wrist. The case is further adorned with two rectangular-cut citrine gemstones, each approximately 4 carats, positioned at the top and bottom. This is followed by elegant, fancy lugs accented with eight square-cut rubies—four at the top and four at the bottom—each approximately 1/8 carat, adding a vibrant touch of color and sophistication.

The hanging lugs securely hold the bracelet, which is complemented by two flat snake chains on each side, finished with a jewelry clasp. All components are crafted from 14K solid rose gold, adding to the watch's elegant and luxurious design. The bracelet will fit a wrist up to 6” (15.3cm).

This is a mechanical 2-hand watch, powered by a manual-wind movement signed by Pery Watch, caliber 5624, with 17 jewels and an unadjusted Swiss-made mechanism.

A stunning Art Deco watch, beautifully accented by a rose gold dial with bold Roman numerals and gold-tone hour markers, complemented by matching blue-steel hands.

This exquisite timepiece is believed to be one-of-a-kind, with no other known example quite like it.
